Common questions
Why are tomorrow’s prices unavailable?
CheapEnergy can only use tomorrow’s data after the selected provider publishes it. Try again later. Automations that need tomorrow’s prices can retry after publication.
CheapEnergy cannot see my home or accessories
Open iOS Settings and check that CheapEnergy has permission to access Home. The accessory must expose a compatible on/off characteristic. Some automation features also require an Apple home hub.
An automation did not run
Check that the schedule is active in CheapEnergy and Apple Home, the accessory is reachable, the home hub is online where required, and the selected time zone and provider zone are correct. Keep manual control available for important devices.
Why does a recommendation use tomorrow?
If today’s valid interval has already passed, CheapEnergy interprets the selected interval as the next occurrence. An overnight interval can begin today and finish tomorrow.
How do I restore CheapEnergy Plus?
Open CheapEnergy Settings, choose CheapEnergy Plus and use Restore Subscription. Purchases must use the same Apple Account. Apple controls purchase availability and entitlement status.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings. Removing CheapEnergy does not cancel the subscription.
How do I remove synced CheapEnergy data?
Use the iCloud storage controls in iOS Settings for CheapEnergy. Menu names can vary by iOS version. Email support if you need help locating the controls.
Is the estimated saving guaranteed?
No. It is calculated from published prices and your consumption estimate. Your bill can also include taxes, fixed charges, regulated costs and actual consumption differences.
