Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of CheapEnergy and supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Effective and last updated: 15 July 2026

1. Agreement and provider

CheapEnergy provides the app and related services. By downloading, accessing or using the app, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Apple’s applicable App Store terms and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If there is a conflict, mandatory law and Apple’s applicable terms take priority where required.

Contact: support_cheapenergy@consultor.com.es.

2. What CheapEnergy does

CheapEnergy presents published intraday electricity prices, recommends lower-cost time periods, estimates consumption and savings, and can create or update requested automations for compatible Apple Home accessories.

CheapEnergy is a planning tool. It is not an electricity supplier, metering service, financial adviser, safety system or guarantee of a particular bill reduction.

3. Eligibility and device requirements

You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms or use the app with the authorization of a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for a compatible iPhone, supported operating system, internet connection, Apple Account, Apple Home setup and any required compatible accessory or home hub.

Availability of price sources, Apple services and features can vary by country, region, provider, device and operating-system version.

4. License and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms and Apple’s license rules, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use CheapEnergy on supported Apple devices associated with your Apple Account.

You must not misuse the app, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with price providers or Apple services, reverse engineer the app except where law expressly permits it, or use CheapEnergy to control equipment where delayed, missed or incorrect operation could create danger to people, animals or property.

5. Electricity prices and recommendations

Price data comes from third-party public or supplier APIs. Publication schedules, corrections, outages, tariff definitions, time zones and provider methods are outside CheapEnergy’s control. Tomorrow’s prices may not be available until the provider publishes them.

Recommendations and savings figures are estimates based on available prices, the interval selected and the power or consumption data entered. They may differ from your bill because of taxes, regulated charges, standing charges, losses, device behaviour, tariff conditions and actual meter consumption.

You remain responsible for checking that the selected source, tariff, zone, currency, time interval and device information match your circumstances.

6. Apple Home automations and safety

Apple Home automations depend on Apple Home, network connectivity, permissions, accessory availability and, where required, a home hub. They may be delayed, disabled, duplicated, changed by another household member or fail to execute.

Review every automation before relying on it and keep manual control available. Do not use CheapEnergy for medical devices, heating or machinery that could become unsafe, security systems, life-support equipment, unattended high-risk loads or any safety-critical purpose.

7. Free plan

The free plan includes the core price experience and a limited total number of valid appliance recommendations. An attempt that produces no valid recommendation does not count. Limits and included features may evolve for future users, but changes will not remove access already required by mandatory consumer law.

8. CheapEnergy Plus subscriptions

CheapEnergy Plus is offered as auto-renewable monthly and annual subscriptions through Apple. The exact price, currency, tax treatment, billing period and any introductory offer are displayed by the App Store before you confirm purchase and can vary by country or region.

An eligible annual subscription may include a free introductory trial. Apple determines eligibility. Unless cancelled before the trial or paid period renews, the subscription automatically converts or renews at the price shown by Apple for the applicable period.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds, billing disputes, price-change notices and introductory-offer eligibility are handled under Apple’s App Store rules.

Plus access is available across supported devices where Apple recognizes the same entitlement. Family Sharing is not offered unless the App Store purchase screen states otherwise.

9. Expiry, cancellation and data

When Plus access ends, paid features stop. CheapEnergy may pause or remove the triggers it manages to prevent schedules from continuing with stale price data. Your configuration and history are preserved according to the app’s retention settings so you can inspect your information and reactivate features later.

You retain the ability to review, disable or delete existing CheapEnergy configurations where technically available. Subscription cancellation does not automatically erase app or iCloud data; see the Privacy Policy for deletion options.

10. Third-party services

Apple Home, iCloud, StoreKit, the App Store, electricity price APIs, Cloudflare and email services are operated by third parties under their own terms. CheapEnergy is not responsible for their availability, policies or changes. References to Apple, Red Eléctrica de España or Octopus Energy do not imply endorsement or affiliation.

11. Updates and availability

We may update CheapEnergy to maintain compatibility, correct faults, add providers, improve security or change features. Some updates may be required for continued use. We do not promise that every provider, accessory or operating-system version will remain supported indefinitely.

We may suspend a feature when continuing it would be unsafe, unlawful, technically impossible or dependent on an unavailable third-party service.

12. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheapEnergy is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, exact price data, execution of an automation or a specific financial saving.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections. Subject to those protections, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, missed automations, changes in electricity prices, provider outages, incompatible equipment or decisions made solely from an estimate shown by the app.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Spanish law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable consumer law will hear disputes.

Please contact support first so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms to reflect legal, technical or product changes. Material changes will take effect prospectively and the current version will be published here with its effective date. Continuing to use the app after an update means accepting the revised Terms where permitted by law.

CheapEnergy is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple or electricity price providers.
